According to data from PwC, many manufacturers are increasingly leveraging digital platforms to showcase their products, with online sales growth projected to rise from 0% to 60% in the coming years. E-commerce has become a strategic focus for nearly all industries. Numerous B2B manufacturers are expanding their operations by shifting from business-to-business (B2B) models to direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales.

Most manufacturers in the U.S. already plan to implement e-commerce strategies. Two-thirds of U.S. manufacturers (66%) agree that deploying digital marketing and sales strategies in the coming years is a top priority. Transforming business models to operate on e-commerce platforms can offer numerous benefits, such as maintaining and protecting sales during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding into new customer segments (gathering data on customer habits and needs), improving revenue, and reducing cost-to-serve by limiting direct marketing and sales efforts.

In response to this trend, LianLian Global, in collaboration with Amazon Global Selling and Peregrine Management International, organized an online event titled "E-commerce Export Journey with Amazon: Optimizing Manufacturing Capabilities." The event introduced businesses to flexible, professional, and sustainable cross-border e-commerce processes tailored for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). To best support customers in transitioning business models and accessing new markets, the program also highlighted the potential of the Amazon platform and provided payment solutions for manufacturers, presented by the following expert speakers:

  • Mr. Trinh Khac Toan: Northern Region Director, Amazon Global Selling Vietnam: With many years of experience in leadership and product development roles, managing new business projects in Vietnam at Samsung, Microsoft, and DFS.
  • Mr. John Dwyer: Founder, Peregrine Management International: Over 22 years in industrial manufacturing in the U.S. and Asia, including 11 years in leadership positions at top Fortune 500 American factories, overseeing cross-national development projects.
  • Mr. Hung Tran: Quality and Engineering Director, Peregrine Management International: 15 years of experience in quality and engineering management at FDI and multinational companies in Vietnam.
  • Mr. Pham Xuan Tai: Managing Director, LianLian Global Vietnam: 10 years of executive and managerial experience in leading international financial technology corporations and top Big 4 audit firms.
  • Ms. Huynh Van My Linh: Business Development, Testing, and Social Responsibility Director, Bureau Veritas Vietnam: 16 years of experience in the textile industry, engaged in production, material research, and export business development.

With enthusiastic and experienced speakers, the program was highly engaging, featuring in-depth questions from participants. On behalf of the organizers, LianLian Global sincerely thanks all participating businesses for their interest.
